The MILL building was constructed in 1952 as a home for the Champlain Valley Seed Growers Co-op. As decades passed it morphed into what became known as ‘champlain valley milling’ which produces high-quality organic flours often in demand by high-profile chefs from the region and beyond. When the company moved to willsboro in 2019, the building itself was left with an uncertain future, but certainly not due to disrepair. Our first look at the inside of the building revealed an extremely robust structure with loads of character, and the decision to bring the building back to life was an easy one to make.

Renovations began in early 2022, led by creative director taylor haskins with Weimann-lamphere architects and KZ CUSTOM Builders’ Josh KingZack, who enlistED a long roster of north country subcontractors such as RWS CONStruction, Hometown Electrical Services, Howl at the moon mechanicals, allsafe fire suppression, adams brothers painters, and many other individuals to contribute to the process.

What we have now is a beautifully renovated building that has been brought up to modern standards and beyond, which will ensure a long-lasting impact on the local community.
