"A World of Piano” - a solo piano series curated by GRAMMY®-winning composer and pianist Geoffrey Keezer. Named after Keezer’s favorite album by the great jazz pianist Phineas Newborn, Jr., “A World of Piano” will showcase an extraordinary lineup of emerging voices, marquee performers, and forward-thinking artists who embody the present and future of improvised piano music.
Originating from Seoul, South Korea, pianist Dabin Ryu is a rising global star in the jazz world whose nuanced playing reveals her singular voice.
Dabin has collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Ralph Peterson, Billy Harper, Randy Brecker, Johnathan Blake, Joe Martin, Anat Cohen, David Virelles, Godwin Louis, Rodney Jones, Jaleel Shaw, and many more. As a versatile pianist, she has led her own band and contributed to notable projects including Ralph Peterson’s Next Generation Big Band, David Virelles’ Nosotros Ensemble, and others. She is the winner of the 15th UNISA International Piano Competition and the 2025 Jazz Gallery Residency Commission. Currently, she serves as an associate professor at Berklee College of Music. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music, a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music, and an Artist Diploma from the Juilliard School.
